Substantial benefit from the sea is important and irreplaceable for life. To keep the sea free from oil is a primary mission of human beings. The oil effluent standards were revised, and the new standard that the oil content of discharges from all ships does not exceed 15 ppm entered into force on 1 January 2007. The oil-cut strainer is a milestone oil-water separator that rapidly filters and removes oil from bilge water.

This time, our two oil-cut strainers are registered in the New Technology Information System (NETIS) of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport (MLIT).

Easily replaceable cartridge system

The cartridge strainer can be easily replaced when it fully absorbs oil. (PAT.P)
You can reuse the cartridge case and just replace the oil adsorption filter element.

Extraordinary rapid oil-water separation

The capacity of the oil-water separation filter, which has a special oil adsorption element, is 10 L/min of rapid draining, equivalent to the capacity of commercial bilge pumps, and the filter has passed an endurance test of three hours with an oil content of 500 ppm (including 100 ppm of emulsion) in certification tests. Light, compact, and thoughtful design for small ships

The unit can be installed in a low-ceiling engine room. The cover protecting the cartridge has convenient inspection windows on both sides. You can visually check the degree of oil adsorption and dirtiness through them.

The first HK-certified product based on the oil-water separator certification standards

The stricter oil effluent regulations for all ships with a gross tonnage of less than 100 tons entered into force on 1 January 2007. The oil content of discharges of bilge water must not exceed 15 ppm, and the discharges must be filtered through an oil-water separator in the passage. To evaluate the performance of oil-water separators under the regulations, Nippon Hakuyohin Kentei Kyokai (the Ship Equipment Inspection Society of Japan, HK) certifies products. Our two oil-cut strainers are certified by HK.

The oil-water separator certification standards require integrating flowmeters or hour meters for pump operation hours be installed to determine the filter replacement time. Our oil-cut strainers are equipped with integrating flowmeters as standard. The filter replacement time can be determined based on a visual check of the oil adsorption of our unique transparent cartridge, reading of the integrating flowmeter, and floating oil conditions on the bilge water.

Easily installed for new or existing drain lines

[Caution] Do not use neutralizer or surfactant together in the bilge. The strainer may lose its oil adsorptive activity.
